There have been 43 race tracks in Connecticut.  One of the remaining tracks is in Thompson, on property owned by the Honig family.   Another track is in Stafford that goes back to the turn of the 20th century and is very healthy with strong fields of cars and fan support. Waterford, near the shoreline, has been rehabbed recently and offers weekly Saturday night racing.
